Mamá María’s Branding

Mamá María’s is a Mexican restaurant that prides itself on its authentic Mexican cuisine.

Mamá María’s needed branding to get their restaurant going and show the people what they are all about. They needed a brand that not only represented its authenticity but also embraced the fun factor of going out to eat.

Immediately I thought of the word Fiesta which in Spanish means religious festival or even sometimes used to describe a party. To incorporate this, I used silhouettes of Mexican dancers and Mariachi to bring the authenticity of Mexican culture along with the party. To strengthen the connection between Mexico and Mamá María’s I also used a color palette selected from the Mexico flower, the Dahlia. I had a lot of fun diving into Mexican culture to include it in my final design.
